Chicago Blackhawks left-wing Bobby Hull scored his 50th goal of the season in the last game of the 1962 season, becoming the third player in NHL history to reach the 50 goal milestone. Maurice “Rocket” Richard and Bernie Geoffrion were the first two players to accomplish the feat before “The Golden Jet” joined them in the exclusive 50 goal club.
