Adam Graves scored two second-period goals and John Vanbiesbrouck made 29 saves as the New York Rangers cruised to a 4-0 victory over the San Jose Sharks last night.
Mike Gartner and Peter Andersson each added two assists as New York won its third straight. The neutral-site game, only the second NHL regular-season game ever held in Sacramento, Calif., drew a crowd of 13,633.
Vanbiesbrouck, who recorded his third shutout of the season and 15th of his career in regular-season play, was also in goal when the Rangers opened their road trip with a 6-4 victory at San Jose on February 20th. He had 53 saves over those games.
