SAN DIEGO (AP) – Andre Lacroix scored a goal and three assists Saturday night to lead the San Diego Mariners to a come-from-behind 5-4 World Hockey Association playoff victory over the Winnipeg Jets.
San Diego tallied three times in the final period to win. The two teams meet again Sunday night with the Jets holding a 2-1 edge in the best-of-seven quarter-final series.
Winnipeg scored three times in the first 13 minutes, including a pair of goals less than a minute apart Peter Sullivan opened the scoring 3:34 into the game and just 50 seconds later, Willy Lindstrom gave the Jets a 2-0 lead after taking a pass from Sullivan.
