Pat Verbeek surpassed the 1,000 career point plateau in Detroit's 3-1 win over Tampa.
The 17-year veteran, who had 495 goals among his 1,001 points, wasn't alone in the milestone department.
Scotty Bowman won his 300th game as Detroit's head coach and Larry Murphy played in his 1,541st career game, moving him third place on the all-time list.
“It (puck) will one day go on the wall of my (trophy) room,” said Verbeek, who picked up two assists to become the 57th player to reach 1,000 points. “That's if I ever find a place to live permanently.
“Thinking back to when I was a kid trying to make the pros, I never knew I could accomplish this. (But) one thing my parents gave to me as a kid was to never stop working. That's got me over a lot of hurdles to get me here and help me stay in this league,” said the 5'9 Verbeek.
